Houses of parliament 2

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Looked After Children and Care Leavers is taking place on Wednesday 18th January 2017 at Portcullis House, Westminster.

The APPG has a new chair, Steve McCabe MP.

The Children and Social Work Bill will be discussed at the meeting. The meeting will be taking place during the Bill’s passage through the House of Commons which means that what young people say could make a real  impact on this Bill.

The Children and Social Work Bill is a Government Bill which sets out law about looked after children and care leavers in England. The Bill provides the legislative framework to support changes in children’s social care.

If you would like to give your views and listen to what other young people in care and care leavers say , please contact your social worker.
