You are never too old or too young to start something new!

Posted on 21 April 2015

I have been snowboarding now for over 14 years, it started when I met my partner – who is a really good snowboarder. I was quite mature when I started snowboarding and have seen very young children doing it too!

I have visited and seen several amazing mountains over the years, in France, Italy, Norway, Bulgaria, Canada and Austria!

I have always been quite athletic – having three sons and a brother! So I had no fear of starting to learn how to snowboard.

I will say, It’s quite hard to learn to Snowboard at first, lots of falling on your bottom and knees which, even that’s funny! But once you get the hang of it, it’s the best feeling in the world, having the wind in your face and hair! It’s cold, don’t get me wrong, but there have been days when I have been on the top of the mountain, snow all around me and the sun shining when it has been really warm  a real Kodak (camera) moment,  so you need to have lots of layers and you wear appropriate cold weather clothes. Thick jumpers trousers that are waterproof, because no matter how good you are, you will sometimes fall over! After all it is an extreme sport!

I love the feeling of freedom and the scenery is amazing. Please see me video and photos! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have making them.

I would suggest, if you are interested in skiing or snowboarding go to special facilities such as Snow Zone in Milton Keynes or others places dotted about the country. If you would like further info on snowboarding and where to go please let me know the next time you are in the 16+ Drop in.
