Why exercise?

  1. It releases dopamine in the brain, which makes you happy

The dopamine is released which is a major factor to our overall happiness. Research has been taken, and it is suggested that as we age we constantly lose the levels of dopamine the brain produces, but doing exercise can bring the dopamine levels back up.

  1. It’s a good way to release stress

It’s been well documented that exercise is a great stress reliever, from punching a bag to going for a run. Exercise is sure to calm you down. Studies have shown that people who do regular exercise are more likely to lead a less stressful life because whilst exercising you are putting yourself through mini stress session whilst your heart rate goes up, which means with regular exercise your body and mind gets used to stress, and knows how to handle it.

  1. Your confidence is enhanced

Seeing your body transform, from regular exercise all in all makes you feel good about yourself which enhances your confidence. Your general self – esteem increases, which will have a positive effect on all areas of your life from relationships to work.

From riding a bike to power lifting in the gym, exercise is great way to enhance your wellbeing, not just physically but mentally.
