Young people take over 5PS and the Town Hall
About 50 Camden young people are at 5 Pancras Square (10th floor) and Camden Town Hall (civic floor) for a day of discussions and debate on issues ranging from police stop and search tactics to sex and relationships education.
The Children’s Commissioner for England’s Takeover Day gives children and young people the chance to work with adults for the day and be involved in decision-making.
The local young people will work with officers from Camden Council and Camden Police at 5PS to come up with creative solutions and campaigns. Later in the day, they will take to the floor of the Council Chamber, at Camden Town Hall, to present their big ideas to a panel of senior Camden councillors and officers.
