On the 27th October 2014 members from The Children in Care Council (CiCC) helped to host the Achievement Event with the Academy for Looked after Children and Care Leavers at the London Zoo.
We started the day early by setting up our information table with freebies and treats. We welcomed everyone who arrived, which most importantly gave us the opportunity to talk to young people about the CiCC and register them to our group. We are very much looking forward to welcoming them to our meetings in the imminent future.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet some of the notable people such as the Mayor of Camden, Martin Pratt the director, Councillor Angela Mason Cabinet Member for Children and foster carers. It was an exciting yet very emotional day in celebrating achievements and hard work in a harmonious congregation.
Big shout out to the members of CiCC, Nikita and Jamil for getting their achievement awards! Overall, it was a very successful day, which ended with a free visit to the London Zoo!
