Camden MOSAIC Sleep Service

Posted on 05 July 2013

Hello, my name is Susan Cottam and I am a Clinical Psychologist. I coordinate the Camden MOSAIC Sleep Service for disabled children. The children we see have physical disabilities or learning disabilities or maybe a diagnosis of Autism or Down Syndrome.

Working with parents at MOSAIC we know how difficult it can be if your disabled child is having difficulty sleeping. Not only is your child tired and testy during the day, but sleepless nights can seem endless for parents who are also losing sleep and feeling stressed.

We run regular sleep workshops at Kentish Town Health Centre for parents to get together to discuss their disabled child's sleep difficulties. We offer tips on how to put a helpful bedtime routine in place for your child and how to create an environment at home that gives your child the best possibility of a good night's sleep. We also have tips about what to do if your child wakes up during the night and then finds it hard to get back to sleep. If you need more individual support after attending a workshop, we can also offer one to one sleep counselling where we create a sleep programme specifically designed for your child and your lifestyle.

If you would like to come along to one of our sleep workshops - please call the Camden MOSAIC Sleep Service on 020 3317 2261 or contact me at [email protected]
