Meeting of Children in Care Councils at Westminster

Posted on 22 May 2013

Hi,

I will be attending a meeting at Westminster to discuss the role of corporate parenting on 5th June 2013 at the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group).

At the meeting there will be representatives of other Children in Care Councils, Councillors as well as Baroness Massey (Chair of the APPG) and Craig Whittaker MP (Education Select Committee).

What is a Corporate Parent?

Corporate Parents are the key professionals and decision makers such as councillors who are involved in improving services for Looked After Children and care leavers.
We will be discussing how corporate parenting can improve the lives of looked after children and care leavers.

What do you think corporate parents should know about looked after children and care leavers?

Please send your comments to me before 5th June 2013 so I can represent your views at Westminster.

Created by: Liya, Chair of the Children in Care Council
