The Children School and Families Complaints Unit

Posted on 19 March 2013

We are a young person focused support service, we encourage all children and young people to tell us what they think about how we support them.

We accept that sometime children and young people feel that the service does not always meet their needs as they wish them to be met.

You can contact the Complaints Officer’s by telephone, e-mail or text message, they will listen to your complaint and try and sort thing out as soon as possible. If you are worried about making a complaint the Complaints Officer can arrange for someone who does not work for use to help of speak on your behalf, this person is known as an Advocate. The Advocate will support you until you are happy your concerns or complaint is resolved.

All complaints are replied to within 10 working days. If you are not happy with the reply you can take your complaint further. The Complaints Officer will ask a different person to look more closely at your complaint.

Remember –Your views are important to us and we will listen to what you want to happen, we won’t treat you unfairly because you have made a complaint and we will keep your complaint private.
